Speak Like A Child: Darcy James Argue

Darcy James Argue, geboren 1975 in Vancouver, ist Jazz-Komponist;
mit seiner multi-stilistischen Musik gilt er als einer der
Innovatoren des Big Band Jazz.


Wie John Hollenbeck (später ebenfalls Gast in Speak Like A Child)
ist er Schüler des legendären Arrangeurs Bob Brookmeyer am New
England Conservatory in Boston.


Seit 2003 lebt er in New York City, 2005 gründet er die Secret
Society, 2011 Grammy-Nominierung für sein Album „Infernal
Machines“.


Das Gespräch mit Darcy James Argue fand am 12. Oktober 2018
statt, vor seinem dritten Konzert mit dem Cologne Contemporary
Jazz Orchestra (nach 2007 und 2010).
