This audio/movement journey was built for the Rooftop Garden at the Lazarus Building in downtown Columbus. Evidence from this event screened at the Homing Site Reflections Exhibition at Urban Arts Space on the first floor of the Lazarus Building from July 14-August 15 2026. This guide made possible by a collaboration with Professor of Entomology, Dr. Mary Gardiner and her lab, including Graduate Student David Narayanan. Supported by a grant from Ohio State Energy Partners.

"Black Haw Trail" is the second of three audio guides built for Stroud's Run State Park in Athens, Ohio. The guide begins at the mouth of the Black Haw Trail, near the Bull Dog Shelter House, about half a mile down Stroud’s Run Road from the Stroud’s Run Beach.

HOMING is an audio installation and participatory performance score for Scioto Audubon Metro Park in Columbus, OH, that considers the role of attention, sensation, and movement in orienting towards land, our non-human companions, and ourselves. Through a set of five audio guides featuring reflective and creative movement prompts for different areas of the park, participants are invited to bring attention to plants, wildlife, and the connections between our bodies and the local landscape. The guides can be experienced sequentially for a 90-minute moving journey through the park or individually for a shorter experience.

HOMING is a series of site-specific audio installations and
participatory performance scores exploring attention, sensation,
and movement in relationship to the natural world. Through guided
audio experiences, participants are invited to engage deeply with
their surroundings, fostering a sense of connection with the
landscape, local ecosystems, and their own embodied presence. These
projects create opportunities for reflection and interaction,
offering pathways to reimagine our relationships with place and the
non-human world.
