Sex mit Biberleichen w/Nina & Yannick (HERR MARIE)

2 Stunden 38 Minuten
Heaven, Lord Mary … some things just don’t translate properly. Anyways, we’re finally back with a new episode, and this time we’re rocking with the punks for (a) change … pun intended. So, polish your piercings, re-grease your mohawks, and open a can of your finest – which is to say, cheapest – off-brand lager for this celebratory re-sealing of an ancient covenant. Join us, as punks and metalheads become unified once more, and simply meet as bvds. For this, we welcome in our midst two gloriously (hey ho, let’s) go-getting individuals: the diversely haired, incredibly talented, uniquely voiced and inspiringly vocal Yannick and Nina of Saarland’s finest punk rocking outfit, Herr Marie.

After some unprotected kickflippin’ down the half-pipes of memory, we discuss another eclectic selection of fresh tunes, including the recent releases by Doodseskader – The Change is Me (00:43:54), Gaerea – Loss (00:58:24), Angine de Poitrine – Vol. II (01:12:38), Mallavora – What If Better Never Comes? (01:31:23), as well as The Casualties – Detonate (01:40:10).

As usual, the “lost & found” section of the show comes with a new category! This episode, we double-down on double trouble, as we are looking for “the best album by a band with only two members”. So, dismiss your horn section and pair your headphones for this detonation of duplex dynamite, as we blow each other up over the explosive releases by Satyricon – Now, Diabolical (01:51:07), We Butter The Bread With Butter – Das Monster Aus Dem Schrank (01:58:50), Now, Now Every Children – Cars (02:07:38), Bionic Ghost Kids – Horrorshow (02:12:11), and last but obviously not least, Pound - (02:19:52).

One more thing, as usual: we’re on Discord! Come join the cult! We would love for you to join the Earbvds family and talk music with us!

Once again, we invite you to come along for this metallic journey of epic proportions.

Sauté me skin-side and call me a goose: it’s time for another one already! Even though your bvds are still shaking from last episode’s earthshattering heaviness, we’re back so very soon with new tunes, good moods, and a thematically appropriate dose of je ne sais quoi. Voila! Join us, as we effortlessly shift from quakes to quacks with our amazing guests, who are as belly-achingly funny as they are musically gifted: the goose bumpin’, comebackin’, riff-salad-dressin’ Lars and Agent of Saarland’s weedliest metalcore outfit UNDER FALSE COLORS.

After some rendez-vousin’ with our good friends about their latest hors d’oeuvre – the fantastically heavy new EP Zero H.O.M.E. – we discuss another eclectic selection of fresh tunes, including the recent releases by Atlas – Sunder (00:33:55), Fjørt – belle époque (00:45:18), Blanket – True Blue (00:58:16), ERRA – silence outlives the earth (01:07:53), as well as Rosa Faenskap – Ingenting Forblir (01:23:45).

As usual, the “lost & found” section of the show comes with a new category! This episode, we are looking for “the best album by a French band”. So, dust off your berets, grease your mustaches, butter your baguettes, and join us as we saunter along the boulevard of deep cuts and déjà-vus to the exquisite tunes of Birds in Row – Gris Klein (01:38:27), Uneven Structure – Februus (01:45:03), Adagio – Underworld (01:51:00), and last but obviously not least, Gojira – Magma (01:57:31).

Bebebebeuuuuuuj (insert air horn sound)! We’re back! New year, new tracks, new tracksuits – as is fitting for our casually smart, leisurely-clothed guest! Yes, we’re doubling down on harkening our hardcore heritage! So, join us for an inspiring, snapbackin’, street-creddin’, anger-managin’ blast of an episode with the one and only Chris of Saarland’s OG hardcore unit Additional Time.

After we have unearthed every hatebreeding detail about the long-spanning and far-reaching ventures of our illustrious guest, we discuss another eclectic selection of fresh tunes, including the recent releases by Møl – Dreamcrush (00:25:46), Fossilization – Advent of Wounds (00:35:18), Kreator – Krushers of the World (00:43:58), Skulld – Abyss Calls to Abyss (00:53:00), and Converge – Love Is Not Enough (01:03:45).

As usual, the “lost & found” section of the show comes with a new category! This episode, we are looking for “the album with the best vocal performance”. Polish your pipes and fasten your false chords, as we plunge into the pleasure grottos of bawling perfection, indulging another selection of questionable choices, including Nine Inch Nails – Pretty Hate Machine (01:15:51), Killswitch Engage – The End of Heartache (01:27:30), letlive. – The Blackest Beautiful (01:38:57), Dayseeker – Sleeptalk (01:52:50), and last but not least, Leprous – Pitfalls (02:02:42).

Earbvm of the Year 2025
21.01.2026
2 Stunden 52 Minuten
Blizzards couldn’t stop us. (Minor) car crashes couldn’t stop us. Failing public transport couldn't sop us. Not even sleepy B️ could stop us.

Three weeks have passed since we recorded this one, and yet we still cannot wipe the smiles off our faces. What wonderful bvds you all are! Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for our first Earbvds-Live-Show. Y'all truly made this a very special episode that we will never forget! We love you!

For those of you who couldn’t be with us on that fateful, soul cold night in early January – or for those of you who are keen to hear if their funny heckle made the episode – , tune in as we look back at what a fantastic year 2025 has been for heavy music – and some other outrageously fringe genres ...

Witness maggots morph into moths, as we gather once more for our annual ritual to find the one trve album that might unite all bvds, as we move with unperturbed determination through a whopping total of 148 (!!!) albums – never enough music –, in the desperate hope that this year’s undisputed EARBVM of the year will heal the gaping wounds of 2024 – never forget.

No detailed show notes this time, because, obviously, no spoilers, duh.

Guns n'Furchtbar! w/Ben (DISLOCATE)
11.12.2025
2 Stunden 41 Minuten
Awwwright, bvds, open this fuckin’ pod up. Side to fuckin’ side. Front to fuckin’ back. We’re back with another no-nonsense episode, replete with two-stepping tantrums, windmilling witticisms, and some crowd-killing conversation. Once again, we’re joined by a fantastic guest for some insightful banter ‘bout bvds, beers, breakdowns, and bandanas: the rhyme spitting, mosh-pitting, incredibly credible Ben from Saarland's very own hate-breeding hardcore powerhouse DISLOCATE . Pump up your sneakers and put on your favorite pair of mosh shorts: This one hits harder than the streets of Saarbrooklyn!

After some deep talk with our guest, we discuss another eclectic selection of new tunes, including the recent releases by Vower – A Storm Lined with Silver (00:26:01), Biohazard – Divided We Fall (00:36:55), Bell Witch & Aerial Ruin – Stygian Bough Vol. II (00:43:23), Pupil Slicer – Fleshwork (01:12:16), Conjurer – Unself (01:23:23), and Florence + The Machine – Everybody Scream (01:33:55).

As usual, the “lost & found” section of the show comes with a new category! This episode, we are looking for “the best album of the 90s”. Strap on your inline skates, replenish your Walkman with fresh batteries, and take a stroll down nostalgia lane with us, as we embrace and celebrate a decade worth of (mostly) fantastic heavy music, including Judas Priest – Painkiller (01:51:36), Guns n’Roses – Use Your Illusions II (01:56:20), Pantera – Vulgar Display of Power (02:03:38), Emperor – In the Nightside Eclipse (02:08:57), Converge – When Forever Comes Crashing (02:17:33), as well as Poison the Well – The Opposite of December … A Season of Separation (02:27:17).

One more thing, as usual: We’re on Discord now! Come join the cult! We would love for you to join the Earbvds family and talk music with us!

We love music. And we're buds. And we're so very trve. We're EARBVDS! In Earbuds, we review and talk about music (mostly metal). Old stuff. Recent stuff. Stuff that made us the passionate musicians and metal aficionados that we are today. Sometimes we agree. Sometimes we disagree. Sometimes we tear each other apart. But we'll always have fun along the way. There might also be guests. Who knows? This is the beginning of a journey... Want to be our Earbud?
