It's getting dark earlier out there again, even today, on November 15th, 2022 - because of the changeover to winter time! In the past, dear Andreas didn't mind - thanks to a slight tendency to morbid gloom - but after the pandemic years that changed. The only thing that helps is to hold out until the winter solstice! This 380th episode of "XtraChill" is intended to bring light into the early darkness, with lots of music from four new releases, among other things!

Thanks to the "bridge day" and public holiday combination, dear Andreas can use November 1st, 2022, for a long weekend in Trier - and the last annoying gas bubble in his eye should have evaporated by now - hopefully! The focus of this 379th edition is a set of four tracks with which the French label "Mare Nostrum" will present itself for the first time in this podcast. There is of course much more to discover around it: look forward to almost an hour of the best entertainment from the podsafe electronica cosmos of "XtraChill"!

Genuss pur! The calendar year 2022 has really conspired against dear Andreas - as far as his travel activities are concerned! Because of bereavements, the beginning of the war and a Covid19 infection, all previous (business) trips were under a bad luck and even the most recent trip to Munich over the long holiday weekend was overshadowed, because your host ended up in the hospital on the second day because of a retinal detachment - which was an unavoidable one required surgical intervention. The dismissal took place in good time on the day of return, but a planned short trip to Italy in the coming week is also canceled due to unfitness to fly! Despite the grief, the 378th episode of "XtraChill" is ready for you fans today, on October 15th, 2022 - the playlist is dominated by a "six-pack" with tracks from three new projects and three well-known artists. Pure enjoyment!

Herzlich Willkommen zur ersten Herbst-Episode 2022 - heute, am 01. Oktober! Welcome to the first fall episode of 2022 - today, on October 1st! Dear Andreas has not splashed out and once again put together a great playlist for you from the depths of the internet. The center is formed by two "threesomes" from the deep and dub techno area, in the middle of which a musical "breakwater" is inserted. This not only increases the contrast, but also provides more variety. You must be very excited! In addition, there are two interesting new features from Georgia and Hungary at the beginning and end of this 377th episode!

In the middle of late summer, on September 15th, 2022, it's already getting autumnal - thanks to the much-needed rain! But it doesn't matter, "XtraChill" can be enjoyed in any weather and thanks to mobile technology anywhere, including this 376th episode of Germany's longest-running, privately produced downtempo music podcast. At the center of my playlist are three double packs of songs, each of which contains a new artist - and there is also a new net label from Spain to discover. You can be very excited!

Der August ist vorbei, heute, am 01. September 2022! August is over, today, on September 1st, 2022! Have you had a nice summer so far, without infections and drought damage? Hopefully! Unfortunately, dear Andreas' vacation in Italy was marked by another bereavement in the family. Unfortunately, his mother-in-law Anna Grazzini Becchi passed away on July 26th - and that's why this 375th episode of "XtraChill" is dedicated to this extraordinary woman - who even at the age of 80 knew how to use tablets and smartphones and was an avid supporter of classic radio - the "podcast 1.0", so to speak. Eight strong tracks await you fans today in the classic song pair scheme, including three new artists!

This 374th episode was produced by dear Andreas a week in advance - because today, on August 1st, 2022, he will already be in Italy and will spend a few weeks there. Which is why this current episode will also herald the annual summer break of "XtraChill". But you fans don't have to starve, because your host won't send you on holiday without fresh, podsafe music. In the media, summer is usually a "slack season", in which people like to often resort to repetitions. And so this time the current playlist rehashes the concept from episode 370, when ambient music was brought into dialogue with dub, minimal techno or minimal house tracks - but today as a continuous music set without annoying chatter. Enjoy this exciting mix and get through August healthy!

Today, on July 15th, 2022 marks the first anniversary of the devastating flood that devastated large parts of Swisttal and neighboring communities. Many people died or lost their livelihood. That's why I dedicate this 373rd episode of "XtraChill" to all the people who are still suffering from the consequences of the catastrophe - a purely symbolic act, of course. On the other hand, it is gratifying that dear Andreas has overcome his Covid infection after long 14 days - unfortunately the planned business trip to Berlin then bursted at the last minute. No matter - bad luck! At least your host was fit enough in time to put together the current playlist. You can expect Drum'n'Bass from Poland, two "threesomes" with a main theme and a mystical-spiritual bouncer. Have fun!

Now dear Andreas has also catched it: he tested positive for the Covid19 virus and is doing his quarantine at home! Unfortunately, the planned business trip to Munich was canceled as a result - and things are not looking good for the symposium in Berlin, which is scheduled to take place today, on July 1st, 2022. At least the consolation remains that your host had enough time to put together this 372nd episode of "XtraChill" and was able to upload it to the server right on time and without any risk of infection for you fans. Please stay healthy, take care of yourselves and enjoy the fine selection of music!

For several years, June has been all about the rainbow - also on June 15th, 2022. Almost all companies are hoisting the rainbow flags in parking lots and on the Internet - mostly pure "pinkwashing" out of calculation. Not so with "XtraChill", because Andreas' small music podcast is always under a rainbow - as a gay podcaster, of course. However, "XtraChill" is not dedicated to socio-political issues, but to music: a language that has always brought people together - regardless of their ethnic group, religion, origin or sexual preference. And for this reason today - after the last two episodes with defined topics - a motley mix of music from most diverse musical styles of electronica forms this 371st episode of "XtraChill". Diversity musically!

Kiddos, where has all the time gone? The year 2022 is almost halfway over today, on June, 1st! Episode 370 of "XtraChill" picks up the theme of the previous episode - but in a different combination! Last time, only ambient tracks were on the playlist, but today they are combined with dub and minimal techno as a musical interplay. For this, dear Andreas has tied six tracks together into a six-pack - framed with two pieces by the probably most productive "XtraChill" artist at the moment: Tadeuš Jatkevič aka "Post Apocalyptic". Have fun with this unusual music mix!

Today, on May 15, 2022, the "XtraChill" podcast celebrates its 16th anniversary! This year, too, the jubilant episode is restrained, after the almost endless pandemic, the saber-rattling before the war in winter and the outbreak of the same in February, I would like to give you fans something else to think about with an escapist ambient special - because like no other genre of Electronica promises pure ambient relaxation! Dear Andreas has put together seven of the eight tracks into a long set, and there's an XL bouncer on top of that. Enjoy the journey to the small ambient island in the ocean of everyday life!

The trees are blooming, the bees are buzzing, the rapeseed fields are forming yellow rectangles in the landscape - it's definitely spring! Unfortunately, today's public holiday falls on a Sunday - so you can only support the political initiative that wants to enforce that public holidays that fall on a weekend have to be shifted to the following week - this has been the case in other countries for a long time! It remains to be seen whether we will experience this in Germany. After all, "XtraChill" also appears on all weekdays and public holidays - including May 1st, 2022. Episode 368 again delivers a lot of great audio material from the electronica sector, among other things joyfully combined into two "threesomes" - according to the merry month!

On Good Friday 2022, on April 15th, just before the long Easter weekend, dear Andreas will once again be presenting new, fresh and podsafe electronica in form of this 367th episode of "XtraChill" - probably the longest-lasting private music podcast in German! Spring is colorful - if it doesn't disappear under a blanket of snow, as it happened here in the Rhineland two weeks ago. Enjoy the little break on today's holiday! Happy Easter - and stay hopeful and healthy!
