It doesn't matter whether you're listening to "XtraChill" today, on July 1st, 2023, as a long-time regular listener or for the first time: this 395th episode definitely offers first-class, podsafe music from the big wide world of electronica music. As always, there are eight tracks on the playlist, 50% of which are by new artists making their debut on my podcast today. And a new net-label is also introducing itself. Get ready for a 54-minute musical journey that will be at times rough and stimulating, and also gentle and relaxing. There is sure to be something for every taste!

Shortly before the zenith of the year, dear Andreas, today, on June 15th, is already taking stock, because the first half of 2023 is over; soon it will be summer solstice and the days will unfortunately be getting shorter again! So far, since episode 384, whopping 73 tracks have been played on "XtraChill", 39 of which were done by new artists on the show! And with this current 394th edition, there are four more to come. The focus of the playlist is on two "song pairs plus" - as already tested in episode 387, these are music double packs with an "insertion track" of a different genre. Enjoy the sunny summer days with this exciting selection of music from five continents!

With all the stress of the eye surgery, dear Andreas overslept the 17th birthday of "XtraChill", which is always celebrated on May 15th! But as you get older, you don't really notice cradle festivals anymore - and with the almost biblical age for a podcast, two weeks more or less doesn't make any difference. And so your host congratulates himself today, on June 1st, 2023 - with this 393rd edition! Among other things, two "Threesomes" and a total of 5.5 new artists are on the playlist, with the usual first-class music mix of free downtempo electronica from the Internet. And don't forget: support the artists and labels with the purchase or streaming of the music. Have fun listening!

Again, dear Andreas has to pre-produce an episode before the actual release date. If you're listening to this episode of "XtraChill" today, on May 15th, 2023 (or after), it's only because your host has already taken action before his third (!) eye surgery on May 11th, so that you listeners safely and punctually download this 393rd episode from the server. Please keep all fingers crossed that this was the last surgical procedure. And because the patient, after the two retinal detachments last year, is aware that screen work is not so great so shortly after his stay in hospital, the early production was certainly not a bad idea! Enjoy today's playlist with many new releases and sounds from the far-reaching electronica sector!

"May has come" - "Springtime is here!" - "Spring lets its blue ribbon flutter again" - today, on May 1st, 2023! But don't worry: dear Andreas isn't playing any spring folk music today, but has put together another eight podsafe electronica tracks for this 391st episode of "XtraChill" into an exciting playlist that should brighten up the long weekend for all of you. The focus is on three pairs of songs from different genres and after a long time there is again a contribution to the category "Known albums - newly listened to". Plus an exciting double feature from Projekt Akmuo, which will perfectly frame the beginning and end of the show. Enjoy yourself!

Fest versprochen! Dear Andreas hopes today, on April 15th, 2023, that all fans out there had a nice Easter time - even if the holidays are coming to an end everywhere today. So this 390th episode of "XtraChill" is on the server as a small consolation, with a colorful and not always spring-like selection of music. Because in addition to summery lounge sounds, a well-known artist from the Baltic States is already ringing in autumn! But don't worry - the two "Threesomes" in the middle of the playlist awaken more spring feelings than autumn depressions. Firmly promised!

In line with the beginning of spring, the fans will experience two "Threesomes" and other treasures for the coming holidays. Enjoy this musical Easter egg hunt!

In the middle of March 2023 we enjoy some capriols in terms of the weather, today, on the 15th of the month. The playlist of this 388th episode isn't less varied: two "Threesomes" are in the focus - and especially the label "Deep Electronics" from the Netherlands, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary these days! And dear Andreas heartily congratulates on this occasion. The two sets of three are framed by two relaxing / exciting ambient tracks! Enjoy!

Unfortunately, the time between returning the home base Swisttal from the beautiful Belgium city tour and the release of this issue of "XtraChill" on March 1st, 2023 was tight - nevertheless, dear Andreas managed to get the usual eight track playlist despite the time pressure to conjure up! The focus today is on two "enhanced" song pairs, each featuring two tracks from one net label and music genre, between which a third piece literally "goes in between" musically with a different style. Hopefully none of you fans out there got infected with Covid over the carnival days so you can fully enjoy this 387th episode!

The annual carnival escape also drives dear Andreas to neighboring countries in 2023 - but not to the coasts of Zeeland, but to Belgium. A three-city tour through Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp is on the agenda! And so that you listeners don't have to do without the scheduled supply of podsafe Electronica, your host pushed this 386th episode of "XtraChill" onto the server a few days before February, 15th. The focus is massively on dub and minimal techno this time, with some new artists and a deep chillout bouncer at the end! Have fun with this exciting set beyond the alcohol-laden mood music of the carnival season!

Today, on February 1st, 2023, dear Andreas is happy about the fact that his small podcast "XtraChill" has a large, international audience - despite (or because of?) the German moderation! The statistics show hits from all continents of the world - and the playlist of Episode 385 is also set up internationally, with an involuntary focus on the countries bordering the Baltic Sea! In addition to three contrasting song pairs, there is a new lo-fi-discovery at the beginning and at the end the first XL-bouncer of the still young year! Enjoy!

January is the month of traditions at "XtraChill": not only the annual New Year's concert, but also the second episode of the month, which will be released today, on January 15th 2023, follows a routine, namely working through the last releases of the old year! Around the holidays, labels are throwing out exciting new releases - many of which are year-end compilations. A fine selection of them is building the playlist of this 384th episode - and as a bonus track there is also a track from 2023 at the end! Enjoy a colorful journey through various genres of electronica!

Frohes Neues Jahr - Happy New Year! Dear Andreas really doesn't shed any tears for the year 2022! Deaths, beginning of war, Covid19 infection and a second (!) retinal detachment just before Christmas! There were and are various illnesses in my family too and 2022 was a year to forget! Luckily there was a regular and stable balance in all the mishaps with "XtraChill", a real bright spot in these murky times. And that's why today, on January 1st, 2023, we're looking back at a selection of the most exciting newcomers of the last twelve months, which represent all the artists and projects whose music brought us joy in 2022. The "Golden Rule" also applies to this 383rd episode of "XtraChill" that a track is never played twice, the playlist consists only of new music, mostly from albums and compilations, which have been tracked down from the many net labels in the past year. Enjoy over two hours of music - and start the New Year healthy and sound!
