How Green Is AI? The Environmental Impact of AI w/ Nina Benoit #35
What is the real environmental impact of AI, and how can you use AI
sustainably? Nina Benoit, Director of Sustainability at Brightest,
host of The AI Sustainability Podcast and author of the upcoming
book How Green Is AI?, joins Rose to break down the AI carbon
footprint and AI water footprint, why generating images and videos
weighs far more than text, and how green AI tools like GreenPT,
powered by 100% renewable energy and hosted in Europe, can lower
your impact. We also talk about ESG reporting: how Brightest's ESG
software uses AI for sustainability reports, what a double
materiality assessment is, and what it takes to recertify as a B
Corp. Her first tip is simple: before you prompt, ask yourself if
you really need AI at all. Links: Nina's Substack, How Green Is
