  4. Could Persistent Reflux Lead to Cancer? | Dr Monisha Bhanote
What if looking after ourselves began with looking after our cells?
In the first episode of The Julia Bradbury Podcast, Julia sits down
with Dr Monisha Bhanote, a physician, cytopathologist and “cell
detective”, to talk about what may be happening inside the body
long before illness makes itself known. Dr Bhanote shares how
pathologists examine cells for signs of disease, why different
forms of cancer require different approaches, and how persistent
acid reflux can sometimes lead to changes in the lining of the
oesophagus. She also tells the extraordinary story of being struck
on the head by a golf ball travelling at around 150mph! The Julia
Bradbury Podcast was recorded at the Integrative & Personalised
Medicine Congress and is in partnership with Randox Health.
