In this particularly in-depth episode, we translate ‘big’ concepts
such as entropy, enthalpy and free enthalpy (ΔG) into clinical
practice: what do they mean for transport processes, ion flows,
microcirculation and ATP supply in tissue? You’ll learn how the
Luxxamed algorithm uses a closed-loop system to first measure
(electrical tissue response/impedance), then evaluate
(physiological target range) and finally dynamically adjust
microcurrent and LED output – always taking acute versus chronic
patterns into account. What you’ll learn in this episode ️
Cybernetics in the body: Why ‘measure evaluate regulate’ is the
clinically sound approach. ️ Thermodynamics made simple:
entropy/enthalpy/ΔG as practical conceptual tools for acute ‘hot’
versus chronic ‘rigid’ tissues. ️ Cellular basis: ion gradients,
membrane potential, ATP – and how microcurrent acts in a regulatory
rather than a stimulating manner. ️ Electro-conformational
coupling: Why very small currents (µA) can influence protein
functions. ️ Photobiomodulation: Light as a co-regulator of the
respiratory chain (with purpose and in moderation). ️ Algorithm in
practice: What is measured, how the response curves are
interpreted, and how this leads to an adaptive dose. ️ Clinical
application: Approaches to acute inflammation, chronic stiffness,
early post-operative rehabilitation and sports recovery. ️
Guidelines & safety: Sub-sensory dose, electrode bracketing,
treatment frequency, hydration, co-therapies, operator
responsibilities.
