In this conversation, John Walton explains why Genesis should be
read trough its ancient Near Eastern context rather than as a
modern scientific account. He shows how this approach can deepen
faith and offer a fresh perspective on the relationship between the
Bible and science. John H. Walton is an American Old Testament
scholar and Professor Emeritus of Old Testament, internationally
recognized for his research on the Old Testament in its ancient
Near Eastern context. He is best known for his work on the Genesis
creation account and for advocating an interpretation of biblical
texts through the lens of their original cultural and literary
setting. **Our websites:** https://www.iguw.de/
