carers need to act quickly but also need something special to
protect the penguins: tiny wool jumpers. In Saltburn, a seaside
town in the UK, a group of older women from a local retirement home
hears about penguins in need. They quickly pick up their needles
and get to work, knitting hundreds of little jumpers. These tiny
sweaters help the penguins stay warm until they can be properly
cleaned. Thanks to this effort, 96% of the birds survive after the
