Have you ever wondered how olive oil is produced and what happens
to the waste from olive oil mills? The high content of organic
compounds and heavy metals in olive mill waste can lead to soil
degradation, water pollution and damage to ecosystems. This is
where the EU-funded OLinWASTE project comes in.


In this episode, Vincenzo Lionetti (Associate
Professor at the Sapienza University of Rome and coordinator of
OLinWASTE) and Regina Kratzer (Associate
Professor at TU Graz) tell us, how olive mill waste can be
converted to high value products.
