Floods caused by heavy rainfall are also taking on drastic
dimensions in Germany. The year 2021 brought this fact to us once
again. architekturdesigner.XR therefore spoke with Jochen Kurrle,
who works as a heavy rainfall manager and infrastructure expert
at the consulting firm Drees & Sommer. What his tasks are
there, what effects the meteorological changes will have on our
cities, what a so-called cloudburst plan is, and what he
specifically wants from architects are some of the things we
talked about with him shortly before the federal elections in
Germany.
