Cracks in the alliance: The rift between Obote and Amin

Milton Obote and Idi Amin in the mid-1960s. Allegations of
corruption, growing paranoia and the crisis over the Buganda
kingdom in 1966 contributed to the collapse of their once
powerful alliance. While Obote consolidated his power in Uganda,

inevitable confrontation.
