In this fascinating bonus episode, journey back to the early days
of Idi Amin’s life, long before he became one of Africa’s most
controversial figures. Through the vibrant storytelling of Amin
himself, discover the mystical tale of his first guardian—a
legendary seven-headed snake named Nakan. Found by the elders of
his village, the young Amin was not alone after surviving a
treacherous jungle test. Instead, he was wrapped in the
protective coils of this sacred creature, which seemed to
recognize the future leader’s potential even before he did. With
traditional African drumbeats underscoring his narration, Amin
humorously reflects on the mystery and power that surrounded his
early life. Was it fate, destiny, or just the snake’s preference
for tough babies? Whatever the reason, Amin’s story begins with
the extraordinary—protected by a serpent that would mark the
start of a life far from the ordinary.
