Welcome to our first English episode on NachwuchsFragen! In a
small English podcast series of two episodes, we want to share
stories and provide valuable tips to those of you who consider
doing a postdoc at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH), coming from
abroad. Academic career paths are highly individual – draw on our
guests‘ experiences to make your own story at LUH!

In this first episode, Dr. Lucy Ombaka, chemist and
lecturer from Kenia, will share her story with you: How
she came to work with the Institute of Technical Chemistry at
Leibniz University as an Alexander von Humboldt fellow, and how
she prepared her stay in Germany. She will give useful tips what
to keep in mind when planning your postdoc in Germany and at
Leibniz University Hannover bringing your family, particularly if
you are from the Global South. Dr. Lucy Ombaka has far more to
share: She also gives insights how the postdoc at LUH fits into
her strategic career plan! There is much to learn from her – turn
on!
