Starting out at a new university, in a different country can be challenging. We know this and that’s why the International Office has two support programs for international students: The buddy program ready.study.stuttgart and the Intercultural Mentoring Program! In both programs, international students get help from experienced students from the University of Stuttgart. However, the target group and the services of the programs differ. If you want to know more about the support that you can get or how you can support international student, listen to this episode! Welcome to another episode of our podcast #UniStuttgartInternational! A stay abroad means a different country, different people, different ways of living. And there it is: the culture shock. It’s something that could affect everybody who goes abroad, but doesn’t have to. Therefore, it is an advantage to be aware of it and to be able to detect the symptoms in yourself or others. If you feel like you or someone you know is struggling with a culture shock, do not hesitate to seek out for help!
