Dale Rancourt is a former children’s entertainer and registered sex offender who is known widely as the disgraced ‘Klutzy the Clown’, In this episode his victim , who we will refer to as Jane Doe, will tell their story publicly for the first time. A different and much darker story than the one he admitted to in his guilty plea. Dale Rancourt is a former children’s entertainer and registered sex offender who is known widely as the disgraced ‘Klutzy the Clown’, As you heard in my prior episode while researching Rancourt's life and crime I referenced a documentary film (Big Shoes) about him, produced several years before his arrest. As you may have expected, the film really didn't age well and not because of any creative of technical decisions Michael or Adrienne made but because it leaves out the topic that dominates any discussion about Dale Klutzy the Clown Rancourt.. the sexual offences against a child that occurred in the years after the films release. After watching the film I was interested to hear how the filmmakers have dealt with such a spoiled creation and that’s exactly what we will get into in this episode. In this episode of Nighttime we will be joined by Michael Fraiman and Adrian Lee and our topic is the disturbing story of Dale ' Klutzy ' Rancourt... and their documentary that really didn't age well. For a period spanning a little more than a decade you would have been hard pressed to find a Cape Bretoner unfamiliar with Dale Rancourt and his character Klutzy the Clown. He was both a children and adult entertainer bouncing his way between birthday party's, old folks homes, and public events being a not an especially good performer. He certainly wasn't universally respected, but somehow he managed to find a place for Klutzy the clown in Cape Breton's entertainment economy, but it's all gone now. Dale 'Klutzy the clown' Rancourt broke a few of the most rules society places on those we allow near our children. Over the course of a multi part series, I'll be unpacking the disturbing story of the disgraced Dale ‘Klutzy the Clown’ Rancourt. Andrew's story, and his sister Nicole's advocacy for him have been pulled into the headlines several times since her last appearance on Nighttime. Her families battle for accountability took a big step forward, as a lawsuit against the provincial government has been announced but also, the battle got ugly. An encounter at a dog park between Nicole, and Ian Rankin, the ex premier of Nova Scotia, became of interest to both the local news outlets and the RCMP. In this episode of nighttime, we will again be joined by Nicole Gnazdowsky to discuss the quest for accountability related to the death of her brother Andrew. In this episode UFO writer and researcher Chris Rutkowski and I unpack a collection of the many Canadian UFO reports we received over the past 60 days. These reports, submitted by listeners via the reporting tool on nighttimepodcast.com, come from coast to coast and range from the mundane light in the sky to the fantastic life altering encounter. These may be the most famous duo to ever speak into my microphones. Millions of folks, from all over the world, have watched along in amazement as this Nova Scotia based pair kiss, cuddle, and call each other baby. She is Tamara and he is Kiwi and in the world of online pets this human/avian duo, known by their social media handle Tamarasbluechicken, are a big deal and for good reason. In fact, my 9 year old son Dominic, who is a Tamarasbluechicken super fan, demanded to take part in this interview. That tag team style interview is what I'm going to share tonight. Our guest (who will have their voice altered and will be referred to simply as Jane) has a story that begins in Halifax, Nova Scotia, back when she was just 14 years old. A chance encounter at a bus stop led her through experiences she is very fortunate to have survived. In this episode of Nighttime, I'm again joined by Jane Doe to continue our discussion surrounding child sex trafficking, survival, and justice. London, Ontario - Oct 13, 1983 17-year-old Donna-Jean Awcock was babysitting a neighbour's child in the apartment building next door to where she lived… Something she did regularly. When the child's mother returned home, in the early morning hours, she asked Donna run across the street to a convenience store before she left. This visit to the store which was only a stones throw away from her home is the last time Donna was seen alive. A gruesome discovery at a riverbank in the days later would explain what happened to her... but not who was responsible. The murder has remained unsolved for nearly 40 years, but not due to lack of trying. Donna's old sister Tammy has made it her life's mission to bring the person or persons responsible for Donna's death to justice. In this episode of Nighttime, I'll be joined by Tammy Dennett, to discuss the still unsolved murder of her little sister Donna-Jean Awcock Episode Links: Justice for Donna Awcock facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/164821050218358 Credits: Musical Theme - Noir Tokyo by Monty Datta Provide feedback and comments on the episode: nighttimepodcast.com/contact Nighttime Links: Premium Feed: https://www.patreon.com/nighttimepodcast Website: https://www.nighttimepodcast.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/NightTimePod Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NightTimePod Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nighttimepod Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/nighttimepod Premium Feed: https://www.patreon.com/Nighttimepodcast Learn more about your ad choices. In this episode Chris Rutkowski and I discuss one of Canada's many UFO secrets. This isn't one of those secrets anyone is trying to keep though... I'm sure the town of St. Paul, Alberta would love to have the world find out about their unique contribution to Canada's UFO history. Many Canada's may be unaware that back in 1967, the mayor of St. Paul Alberta decided to have the world's first UFO landing pad built and the monolithic concrete structure still stands today... waiting to it's first arrival. Shortly after the release of the prior episode in this series I connected with someone very close to this story and they offered to reveal some startling new details that will shed even more light on what may have happened to Emily Bailey. Brandon is the father of one of Emily's daughters. You've heard him mentioned in past episodes as he was the person responsible for reporting her missing to Hamilton Police. As you will learn from our conversation, Brandon was in regular contact with her leading up to her disappearance and some of the information she shared with him led to Brandon showing up at the door of Jeff's house in the days after the missing person report was filed. In this episode of Nighttime, I'll be joined by Brandon Hunter for a discussion surrounding the disappearance of his close friend and the mother of his child, Emily Bailey. In this episode we are going to remain in Hamilton, Ontario for continued coverage related to the disappearance of 23 year old mother of two, Emily Bailey. In our prior episode, we met with Emily’s brother Ben Bailey. Shortly after the release of that episode the show was contacted by a close friend of Emily's named Nikki. Nikki explained that she may be able to fill in many of the blanks related to Emily's last known whereabouts and possibly shed some light on the circumstances related to her disappearance. Nikki was one of the last people to see Emily, was polygraphed by Hamilton police, and provide investigators with some disturbing information regarding the man she last saw Emily with. In this episode of Nighttime, Nikki and I will discuss many new details related to the still unexplained disappearance of her friend Emily Bailey Episode Links: Emily Bailey is Missing in Canada - part 1 - https://www.nighttimepodcast.com/episodes/missing-emily-bailey Emily Bailey is Missing in Canada - part 2 - https://www.nighttimepodcast.com/episodes/missing-emily-bailey-2 Join the Missing: Emily Bailey facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1364395594001265 Links: make a case suggestion: https://www.nighttimepodcast.com/contact Provide feedback and comments on the episode: nighttimepodcast.com/contact Subscribe to the show: premium feed: https://www.patreon.com/Nighttimepodcast apple podcasts: https://applepodcasts.com/nighttime Musical Theme: Noir Toyko by Monty Datta Contact: Website: https://www.nighttimepodcast.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/NightTimePod Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NightTimePod Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nighttimepod Support the show: https://www.patreon.com/nighttimepodcast Premium Feed: https://www.patreon.com/Nighttimepodcast Learn more about your ad choices.
