In a prior episode listeners of Nighttime shared their disturbing encounters with real life creeps. There were awful first dates, clingy customers, and just a bunch of all around cringey creepiness. In this episode, we will revisit the topic. I've invited Canadian crime content creator Madelayne Klein to help me unpack a second batch of listener contributed CREEP encounters as well as some recent higher profile creeps that found themselves in Canadian new stories. This story revolves around a rape allegation directed at a respected physician. On Halloween night 1992, a 23 year old woman went to the Kipling Memorial Hospital in Kipling, Saskatchewan facing a mental health crisis. The physician on duty, Dr. John Schneeberger would handle her care. The care he provides involved drugging her, raping her, and going to unimaginable lengths to hide his crime. So let that description be a trigger warning. In this episode, I’m joined by Canadian crime content creator Madelayne Klein to explore the case of Dr. John Schneeberger. This story takes us to Pickering, Ontario During the early morning hours of March 17th, 1995 a group of six teenagers leave a house party in the area with plans to "goof around" at a nearby marina. Security cameras at the Marina show three of the boys enter the area just prior to 2am. They, nor the other three boys they left the party with, have ever been seen again. The only evidence suggesting their possible whereabouts was two reports of stolen watercraft. In this episode of Nighttime, I've invited Canadian crime content creator Madelayne Klein to help me try and understand what may have happened to the Pickering Lost boys. Then 26 year old civil engineer Andrew Gnazdowsky and a co-worker were on site completing a survey of a Nova Scotia Power dam near Sheet Harbour in October of 2020. When a technology failure disrupted their work, Andrew made the fateful decision to enter the water and collect the failed equipment. Moments later, Andrew would briefly yell for help before ultimately disappearing below the still water. In the year since Andrew's tragic death, the Gnazdowsky's have been steadfast in their belief that the investigation into Andrew's death has been at best flawed and at worst completely compromised… and it's not just a hunch that tells them that. Conflicts of interest, erroneous death records, the scrubbing online records, bureaucratic flip flopping, and opportunistic politicians... This story has all of it. In this episode we catch up with Nicole Gnazdowsky with a conversation recorded only days before a verdict is rendered in an trial against Nova Scotia Power related to Andrew Gnazdowsky’s death.  Credits: Musical Theme - Noir Tokyo by Monty Datta Provide feedback and comments on the episode: nighttimepodcast.com/contact Nighttime Links: Premium Feed: https://www.patreon.com/nighttimepodcast Website: https://www.nighttimepodcast.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/NightTimePod Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NightTimePod Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nighttimepod Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/nighttimepod Learn more about your ad choices.
