Kristin MacDonald is a Vancouver based teaching assistant that found herself in the center of controversy. Actually, it's not necessarily Kristin that created the big stir....all the fuss surrounds her alter ego. At night, she becomes Ava James, a barely dressed, large breasted, blonde bombshell who shows almost all of it off on her OnlyFans account. The problem is the school board she works for is most certainly NOT hot for teacher. In this episode we meet Kristin Macdonald/Ava James to discuss the “lose your onlyfans or lose your job” situation. Artificial intelligence has become a growing concern among society. Many artists feel it is plagiarizing their work, writers fear it is devaluing theirs, and nearly everyone wonders how it will affect our future interactions with technology and each other. Madelayne Klein and I wanted to see what the fuss is all about so we asked "Dear AI, what are the 5 most notorious Canadian crimes?" In this episode we finish the conversation we began in part one of this series. In June of 1997 two Halifax Regional Police officers took a break from the action to have a coffee and catch their breath. They pulled into a dark lot behind a Tim Hortons, pulled their cruisers window to window, and began to chat... unaware their lives were about to change forever. Within warning an object appeared in the sky that they have been trying to explain for over 25 years. In this episode I'm joined by Rick Prescott, formally Cst. Prescott of the Halifax Police, to tell us about the two Halifax Police officers and the UFO. This episode is going to take us to Hogsback Lake, a sort of natural recreation area southeast of Vanderhoof, British Columbia. Although the area is known by locals as an ideal spot for camping and fishing, it has also become known as the setting for one of Canada's most often discussed missing person cases. On May 28, 2011, then 20 year old Maddy Scott attended an annual party at Hogsback Lake. Maddy and her friend Jordi intended to camp out at the lake together but unexpected attendees and alcohol would lead to Maddy being left behind to camp alone. The next morning the only thing found at the lake was Maddy's truck and an empty tent. Over the past 12 years the search for Maddy would receive international attention and a ravenous online following despite very little in the way of clues or developments but that all changed just last week and dramatically so. In this episode I’m joined by Madelayne Kline to discuss the disappearance and death of Maddy Scott. If you follow Canadian news, you've likely heard about the horrific murder that recently occurred on the patio of a Starbucks in downtown Vancouver.  37 year old father Paul Schmidt was stabbed to death in an altercation that began with him asking a man to not use an electronic cigarette so close to his 3 year old daughter. If being brutally murdered in front of your child and in broad daylight wasn't enough, Paul's horrific last moments were celebrated by a bystander who captured the violence on video and shared his footage online. Tonight, Madelayne Klein and I discuss the murder of Paul Schmidt, and the piece of s&%t that filmed it.  Episode Links: Paul Schmidt’s family gofundme: https://www.gofundme.com/f/please-support-the-family-of-paul-stanley-schmidt Series Links: Madelayne Klein: https://linktr.ee/madelayneklein Send a voicememo to the show: nighttimepodcast.com/contact Subscribe to the show: premium feed: https://www.patreon.com/Nighttimepodcast apple podcasts: https://applepodcasts.com/nighttime Musical Theme: Noir Toyko by Monty Datta Social Links: Website: https://www.nighttimepodcast.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/NightTimePod Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NightTimePod Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nighttimepod Learn more about your ad choices.
