KO-FI.COM/PODYSSEY *** Look you have to have known
this was coming. How can a podcast called Podyssey, not engage with
Christopher Nolan’s epic Odyssey? But I wanted to make it special.
So I have assembled a star team, of ALL the experts including, as a
treat, film critic and Season 1 regular, Linda Marric. Let me
alleviate the tension and tell you - we all loved the film. But
that doesn’t mean we loved it equally or loved it for the same
reasons. Or that we don’t disagree with plenty of the artistic
choices that were made - and with each other. We discussed every
aspect of the film, including some pretty controversial ones, in a
session that was almost as long as the film.
_________________ The myths, tales, and concepts of ancient Greece
echo and reach into every aspect of modern life. Often
misunderstood, frequently romanticised, and sometimes deliberately
twisted - to understand their origins and truth is to get a real
glimpse into the universal themes that connect us to the past and
each other. Welcome to Podyssey with Alex Andreou. Each week we
will take one myth, one concept, person, place, or theme from
Ancient Greece, take it apart, figure out its inner workings, trace
its influence, juice it for its wisdom, reimagine, update and put
it back together - all shiny and new! *** SUPPORT PODYSSEY ON
