As we continue to lose more and more loved ones as the pandemic
rages on, learning how to grieve well is an essential life skill
that can save our sanity. “You have to sit with your grief, but
it gets better, and there will come a time when you’ll have more
happy days than sad ones,” says grief coach Cathy Sanchez Babao,
who is certified in the Grief Recovery Method and is the author
of Between Loss & Forever: Filipina Mothers On The Grief
Journey. “You are not your feelings, and they will pass,” she
adds. “But you have to honor them and respect them, and they are
all valid. No one can take away your sadness from you.”
