In October 2026, the conclusion of the major Nuremberg war crimes
trial will mark its 80th anniversary. This serves as an excellent
opportunity to look back at the Nuremberg Trials. I will provide
an overview of the main war crimes trial and the defendants, as
well as touch upon the subsequent trials. I will delve into the
defendants themselves gradually in individual episodes — much as
I have already done with Wilhelm Keitel and Alfred Jodl in
Episodes 5, 13, 25, and 29. Warning: This is going to be a rather
long mammoth—episode!
