(en) In this talk, I meet the photographer Yolanda del Amo and
talk with her about the book ARCHIPELAGO, which we made together.


ARCHIPELAGO by Yolanda del Amo was published at the end of 2025
by the publishing house Kehrer. Yolanda del Amo, who has Spanish
roots, has been based in New York City for many years.


The tension in her images between the longing for closeness and
the desire for solitude captivated me from the very beginning.
Her book questions the relationshipbetween people and explores
the theme of connectedness across social classes and genders. The
cover is made of a dove-blue cloth. The title ARCHIPELAGO is
written in light yellow, in a classic font, next to a thin,
curved line. The overall look is reminiscent of an old sea map.
