On July 18, 2026, Austrian composer Georg Friedrich Haas and his
wife, Mollena Lee Williams-Haas, will take center stage at the
Grafenegg Academy. On this extraordinary concert day in
Grafenegg, the world premieres of the second and third parts of
Georg Friedrich Haas’s «Hyena» trilogy – works commissioned by
Grafenegg and, in some cases, even composed there – will take
place. In the «Hyena» trilogy, Mollena Lee Williams-Haas tells a
multifaceted story – in a powerful and captivating way – of her
life-threatening alcohol addiction and her journey back to a life
worth living today.


In this special episode of the Grafenegg Podcast, the
storytelling performer Mollena Lee Williams-Haas talks at the
cottage in Grafenegg: In the first part, she shares
autobiographical stories; in the second part, which begins after
about 20 minutes, she offers insights into, among other things, a
dark chapter of her life that ultimately led to the «Hyena»
cycle.
