the Foundation’s first contact teams as they begin speaking with
the Keradids, a curious and deeply unfamiliar species whose first
message is not a threat, but a question. Through careful
translation, quiet meetings, cultural exchange, and the slow
softening of fear into wonder, SCP-7999 becomes a story about two
civilizations discovering that neither one was ever truly alone.


But the connection may not last forever. As the wormhole begins
to shift, Earth and Nest are pulled back toward the impossible
distance that once separated them. The Foundation must decide
what can be shared, what must be remembered, and whether a brief
friendship across the stars can still matter after the door
begins to close.
