Hygiene Olympics: Die Politik des Geruchs

Als die in Cambridge promovierte Literaturwissenschaftlerin Ally
Louks 2024 ein Foto ihrer Dissertation mit dem Titel: „Olfactory
Ethics. The Politics of Smell in Modern and Contemporary Prose“
teilt, gerät das Internet in Rage. Von Abwertung der
Geisteswissenschaften bis zu Drohungen, die zu polizeilichen
Ermittlungen führten, war alles dabei. Donjeta und Helena haben
dieses Phänomen beobachte und nehmen die warmen Sommertage zum
Anlass, sich diesem Thema zu stellen und unter anderem auch ihr
eigenes Verhalten und Denken zu reflektieren. Dafür tauchen sie
in die Welt der Geruchspolitik ein und diskutieren über die
sogenannte „Hygiene Olympics“ auf TikTok. Zu sauber um wahr zu
