Abolish Frontex: The Violence of Borders

While people are outraged by the brutality and inhumanity
perpetrated by ICE, the general public seems to forget that
Frontex, the EU Border Agency, has been at the hands of record
levels of deportations and deaths for years. The number of
deportations carried out by Frontex has doubled from 2023 to
2025, and in 2026 alone, up to the recording of this episode,
approximately 990 people have died attempting to cross the
Mediterranean Sea - more than twice as many people as at the same
time last year. In this episode, we are joined by Eve and Emma
from Abolish Frontex to address the difference in narratives that
exist around ICE and Frontex and both their connections to the
militarised border complex industry. We also tackle their main
mission of abolishing Frontex and why this is an inherently
