#197 How one podcast brought clean water to 600 people

my dear friend John Rimunikawi Tjipurua from the Himba community
in northern Namibia — and what he shares leaves me speechless…

A few years ago, I traveled through Namibia. In a remote Himba
village called Okamuue, John and I recorded one of my very first
podcast episodes ever.


At the time, I had no idea that this single conversation would
later change the lives of hundreds of people.

that the community had no access to clean water, and decided to
act.


Today, because of that podcast, a borehole has been drilled in
the middle of the village — bringing clean drinking water to
around 600 people.
