How easily can we really be manipulated? And how do we know when we
are being manipulated? In this episode, we speak with Adi Schiffer,
Partner at Forentec with a background in civil services and
cybersecurity, about social engineering and why people are often
the biggest security vulnerability. Together, we explore the
methods attackers use to systematically build trust, identify
motives, and exploit individual weaknesses. We discuss how to
defend ourselves against such attacks and how all of us can apply
social engineering skills in our own work. In doing so, we take a
closer look at how much social engineers can piece together from
information that is freely available online — and why awareness is
often the first line of defense.
