Mahbuba Maqsoodi ist Malerin, Autorin und eine Stimme zwischen
Kulturen, denn sie baut mit ihrer Kunst immer wieder Brücken. Sie
ist geboren in Afghanistan und lebt heute in Deutschland. 





Ein breiteres Publikum wurde auf Mahbuba Maqsoodi aufmerksam
durch ein außergewöhnliches Projekt: die Gestaltung der
Kirchenfenster der Benediktinerabtei Tholey im Saarland. Das ist
ein Ort, der Tradition, Spiritualität und zeitgenössische Kunst
miteinander verbindet. Gleichzeitig zeigt Mahbuba Maqsoodi
aktuell ihre Werke in der Städtischen Galerie Neunkirchen, in der
Ausstellung GLAUBHAFT, wo ihr künstlerisches Schaffen in all
seinen Facetten zu erleben ist.





Wir sprechen mit Mahbuba Maqsoodi über Kunst zwischen Religion
und Identität, über Licht und Farbe, über menschliche
Fragestellungen und spirituelle Themen – und über einen
Lebensweg, der geprägt ist von Umbrüchen und von kreativen und
künstlerischen Neuanfängen. 





EN - Mahbuba Maqsoodi is a painter, author and a bridge-builder
between cultures, as her art consistently forges connections. She
was born in Afghanistan and now lives in Germany. 





Mahbuba Maqsoodi came to the attention of a wider audience
through an extraordinary project: the design of the stained-glass
windows at the Benedictine Abbey of Tholey in the Saarland. It is
a place that combines tradition, spirituality and contemporary
art. At the same time, Mahbuba Maqsoodi is currently exhibiting
her works at the Städtische Galerie Neunkirchen in the exhibition
GLAUBHAFT (credible), where her artistic output can be
experienced in all its facets.





We talk to Mahbuba Maqsoodi about art between religion and
identity, about light and colour, about human questions and
spiritual themes – and about a life journey marked by upheavals
and creative and artistic new beginnings. 





FR - Mahbuba Maqsoodi est peintre, écrivaine et une voix entre
les cultures, car elle ne cesse de jeter des ponts à travers son
art. Née en Afghanistan, elle vit aujourd’hui en Allemagne. 





Mahbuba Maqsoodi s’est fait connaître d’un large public grâce à
un projet exceptionnel : la conception des vitraux de l’abbaye
bénédictine de Tholey, en Sarre. C'est un lieu qui allie
tradition, spiritualité et art contemporain. Parallèlement,
Mahbuba Maqsoodi expose actuellement ses œuvres à la Galerie
municipale de Neunkirchen, dans le cadre de l'exposition
GLAUBHAFT (crédible), où l'on peut découvrir son œuvre artistique
sous toutes ses facettes.





Nous discutons avec Mahbuba Maqsoodi de l’art entre religion et
identité, de la lumière et de la couleur, des questionnements
humains et des thèmes spirituels – ainsi que d’un parcours de vie
marqué par des bouleversements et des nouveaux départs créatifs
et artistiques.
