In October 2025, the Ministry of Law and Justice inaugurated the
“Live Cases” dashboard under the Legal Information Management and
Briefing System (LIMBS) to effectively manage and reduce
government litigation. Earlier this year, the Ministry also
notified the “Directive for the Efficient and Effective
Management of Litigation by Government of India” to curb
contractual disputes involving the State. Pavithra Manivannan,
