In Episode 10 of She Did It – The Hopecast, Simone Lersch speaks
with Bianca-Maria Klein, leadership coach, keynote speaker and
EWMD member, about a life-changing crisis that transformed a
successful international career into a deeply meaningful new
path.

Bianca-Maria spent over 20 years in the healthcare and medtech
industry, holding leadership roles in international environments,
driven by ambition, curiosity and a strong sense of
responsibility. She never questioned the pace, the expectations
or the constant pressure until her body and mind forced her to
stop. What followed was a burnout she hadn’t seen coming, a long
period of exhaustion, shame and self-doubt and ultimately, a
radical turning point.

In this honest and reflective conversation, Bianca-Maria reframes
burnout not as failure, but as a gift. A painful one, but one
that opened the door to deep self-inquiry and lasting change.
During months of sick leave, therapy and a stay in a
psychosomatic clinic, she began asking three fundamental
questions that would later shape her work and life.

Finding the answers took time, patience and courage. Bianca-Maria
shares how learning to sit with uncertainty, asking for help and
being radically honest with herself allowed her to reconnect with
her values, her intuition and her strengths. She speaks openly
about the fear of appearing weak, the shame around needing
therapy and how vulnerability ultimately became the foundation of
resilience.

Today, she works as a coach, keynote speaker and facilitator,
helping leaders and teams navigate expectations management,
communication and change. Her story shows that crises don’t end
careers, they can redefine them. And that listening to your inner
voice, even when it whispers softly, can lead to a life that
feels coherent, alive and truly your own.

Her story is a powerful reminder: you are not alone. Healing is a
process. And sometimes, the bravest step forward begins with
admitting that something needs to change.
