New SPND20 Mixtape in: welcome Function! One of techno’s true
underground heroes, Function steps in with a mix that captures the
essence of his club sound: deep, dark, hypnotic and intensely
layered. Cerebral yet physical, this set distills over 30 years of
experience into a rolling trip that’s as uncompromising as it is
immersive. Recorded in Berlin with a Xone 96, with Function’s
signature sound design woven throughout, the mix bridges
heavyweight classics and future-shaping material. Kicking off with
Nastia Reigel’s massive new remix of his own Disaffected, it
showcases three tracks from her upcoming debut album Identity (out
September 26 on Infrastructure). The selection runs wide: from
Regis, Rødhâd, LSD, Nørbak, Nastia Reigel, Ignez, Rene Wise, Silent
Servant, Alarico and UFO95 to unreleased gems by Filippo Scorcucchi
- alongside Function’s own productions, edits and textures. The
