In this edition of Im Gehörgang Ihrer Majestät, we sit down with
composer Steve Pardo, who wrote the music for the Apple Arcade
game Cypher 007.

We talk about the challenges of writing music for video games,
how to approach the iconic Bond sound in a modern way – and why
the Hans Zimmer soundtrack for No Time To Die deserves more love.
Plus: Steve shares insights on his musical roots in Nashville,
the joys of game scoring, and Bond’s most recognizable notes.

In dieser Ausgabe von Im Gehörgang Ihrer
Majestät sprechen wir mit dem Komponisten Steve
Pardo, der den Soundtrack zum
Apple-Arcade-Spiel Cypher
007 geschrieben hat.

Wir reden über die Kunst, Musik für Videospiele zu schreiben,
über die Herausforderung, den
ikonischen Bond-Soundmodern umzusetzen –
und warum auch der Hans-Zimmer-Soundtrack zu No Time To
Die seine Berechtigung hat. Außerdem geht’s um Steves
musikalische Heimat Nashville, um kreative
Freiräume – und um Bonds ikonischste Töne.

Das Gespräch haben wir
auf Englisch geführt.
