(EN) Episode 23 - Battleships of the Kaiser-Friedrich-III.-class

The battleships of the Kaiser-Friedrich-III.-class (SMS Kaiser
Friedrich III., SMS Kaiser Wilhelm II., SMS Kaiser Wilhelm der
Grosse, SMS Kaiser Karl der Grosse, SMS Kaiser Barbarossa),
sometimes just called "Kaiser-class", were ordered before the
beginning of the Naval Arms Race with Britain. However, when they
were commissioned, that arms race had begun.


Technological progress caused these ships to become obsolete very
quickly and they never saw combat. However, they provided the
German Navy with valueable experience and they were a big step
ahead of the older Brandenburg-ships that were discussed in
episode 19.
