Colonial Legacies and Cultural Rhythms at the Tribuna Events

 


In this episode of Radio Revolt, host Fatih explores the Tribuna
Events — a two-day academic and cultural program focused on Latin
America and the Caribbean, held at the University of Graz. The
episode features an interview with Professor Fabio Santos from
the University of Copenhagen, whose work centers on fugitive
histories of migration in the context of colonialism/coloniality,
as well as topics such as borderlands, citizenship, and
belonging. Professor Santos discusses the region’s ongoing social
and economic challenges rooted in colonial histories and briefly
introduces his new research project. In the second part of the
episode, Fatih captures the atmosphere of the Tribuna Events
 by speaking with organizer Christine, a salsa instructor,
and several other participants, offering listeners a rich and
diverse perspective on the event.
