This episode is a slight departure from my usual episode, but I
had the profound opportunity to sit with Max Lucado, a man I have
admired for many years, to discuss the layers of growth and grace
that have marked his journey from a young man battling alcohol to
the seasoned pastor he is today. In our candid conversation, you
will get to see the heart of a spiritual leader who has walked
through the fire of personal trials and emerged with an faith in
Jesus worthy of imitation. Max's vulnerability in sharing his
story reminds us that even those in church leadership need the
grace of Jesus.

Stripping away the veneer often associated with pastoral life,
Max and I discuss the hurdles of vulnerability, balancing
ministry and family, and the relentless pull for approval. Our
conversation highlights the power of community in the healing
process and the profound freedom that comes from being
transparent about one's struggles. We confront the temptation of
seeking validation from others, reminding ourselves that our
worth is not tethered to our imperfections but is instead a
reflection of divine grace.

My prayer is that through this series you will discover and be
reminded of the hope and courage available to overcome life's
challenges through the finished work of Christ.
