Sonohr Interview with Sound Artist Tim Shaw

At the Sonohr Festival 2023 in Bern, sound artist Tim Shaw took
us on an «ambulation». A group of people walked around town with
Shaw who was equipped with several different types of microphones
and a mobile mixing desk. He recorded environmental sounds and
electromagnetic humming from traficlights to security gates and
curated the resulting soundscape for all us listening in with
cordless headphones.
This experience offered a surprising view of our immediate
surroundings. After the walk we had a conversation with Tim to
delve deeper into the subject. As the recording took place in a
pretty crowded space, the interview itself turned into a bit of a
soundscape…
