Canadian architect Alison Brooks came to London in the 1980s, "a
city of super interesting, creative people" that "invites everyone
to live and work here." How has one of the world's most beloved
cities changed over the past three decades? And how did the
award-winning architect start her practice at a time when there
were hardly any female architects with their own practice? She also
talks about what changes she expects to see in the profession, for
example due to climate change, and what changes are currently
taking place in the collective consciousness: "We've been trying to
keep nature out for a long time, and now we're trying to make
nature-friendly architecture." In this episode she explains how
that might work.
