In the 6th issue of the series Czech Contemporary Art in Berlin
we will introduce the curatorial collaborative.

Helena and Jana describe curatorial collaborative as an agency
for presentation, communication and mediation of art and
architecture focusing on finding innovative means of mediation
and display. Through art and architecture networks they try to
advance the discourse on curation in the Czech Republic and
internationally. They are based in Prague and Berlin.

Helena Doudová is a curator and art historian. Currently she
works as a curator of the Architecture Collection at the National
Gallery in Prague. She cooperated on the Creative Europe project
“Shared Cities: Creative Momentum”. Moreover she worked as a
research and curatorial fellow of the International Museum
Program on an exhibition of infographics in the German Museum of
Books and Writing in Leipzig. She also initiated and curated,
among others, the exhibition “Baugruppe ist super!” in the
Kvalitář Gallery in Prague.

Jana Doudová studied humanities at Charles University in Prague
and curatorial studies at University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně
in Ústí nad Labem. Jana is a co-founder of theinformal art
platform UMA: You Make Art, which focuses on mediation of
contemporary art to the general public. She cooperated on the
show “Baugruppe ist super!” with Helena. After an internship at
ZK/U - Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik, Jana moved to Berlin,
where she currently works as a freelance curator at nomadicArt,
curatorial collaborative and (e)Studio Migra.
