Queer Cheer + Music Me Too: addressing violence and discrimination in jazz and improvised music

In the 6th episode of B:jazz, we talk to vocalist and songwriter
Friede Merz about ways of addressing different forms of violence
and discriminiation in the jazz and improvised music scenes, as
well the neccessity of creating safer spaces, improving
visibility, and discussing personal identity in music. The
framework for the discussion takes place through two
inititiatives of which she is a part, Queer Cheer Berlin and
Music Me Too.
