18 ARPANET

Liebe Leute, es ist Zeit für die Geschichte des Internets und
dessen Vorläufer ARPANET. Es ist eine meine Lieblingsgeschichten.
Viele Ideen des heutigen Internets haben seinen Ursprung im
ARPANET, entwickelt von der ARPA, Advanced Research Projects
Agency. Ich erzähle Euch die Geschichte, wie es dazu kam, was die
Sowjetunion, die Hippies, die Briten damit zu tun haben, und
warum es eine ziemlich verrückte Idee ist, Bücher in Form von
Postkarten zu verschicken. Dazu wage mich an ein
experimentelleres Format. Erstens ist das ein „deep dive“, also
ein tiefes Eintauchen in das Thema mit extrem viel Recherche. Ich
berufe mich im Wesentlichen auf ein Kapitel meiner Doktorarbeit,
in die hunderte Stunden geflossen sind. Zweitens experimentiere
ich etwas mit dem Ton. Das Resultat lässt sich meiner Meinung
nach sehen. Bitte lasst mich wissen, ob das für Euch taugt!
