King's Music

ENGLISH VERSION Jürgen König grew up in Berlin. His key experience at the end of the 60s was: first acoustic contact with the Cologne band CAN - an unbroken love affair til today. He studied education and after a 5-year intermezzo as a teacher he went into radio business in 1987. The music department of east German radio station DT64 was his starting point, where he began to present music shows. After the end of the GDR, he was involved in the development of public broadcasting in the new federal states of Germany at ORB's "Rockradio B". This was followed by 8 years at Radio "Fritz" and a move to RBB’s channel "radioeins" in 2001. He left left „radioeins“ in early 2024 and now presents his well known show „King’s Music“ at webradio NCR RAW.FM (https://ncr-raw.fm) and as podcast on all relevant indie / alternative music platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, RTL+, Google Podcasts, Deezer and many more. DEUTSCHE VERSION Jürgen König wuchs in Berlin auf. Sein Schlüsselerlebnis: der erste akustische Kontakt mit der Kölner Band CAN - eine ungebrochene Liebesbeziehung bis heute. König studierte Pädagogik und ging nach einem 5-jährigen Intermezzo als Lehrer, 1987 zum Radio. Er arbeitete bei verschiedenen Sendern. DT64, Rockradio B, Fritz und schließlich radioeins waren die Stationen. Er verließ diesen Sender im Frühjahr 2024 und präsentiert nun seine wundervolle Indie-Musiksendung "King's Music" beim Webradio „NCR RAW.FM“ und jetzt auch als Podcast.
