Yahoo may have lost out on its ad deal with Google, and its
stock is still tumbling, but that's not stopping them from
continuing to court Microsoft. Maybe now that Microsoft has issued
quite a blunt statement that they aren't interested in buying
Yahoo, they will stop trying to sell.
Microsoft says it wants to have Windows 7 out by the end of next
year. But you might want to wait until it's actually running on
your PC before believing anything they say about release
dates.
Hoping to curb prostitution on its site, Craigslist will start
charging people to post ads in its "erotic services" section and
requiring payment via credit card to ensure proper
identification. Great. Just what I need. Another secret credit
card.
Development team Smule has a new iPhone app called Ocarina that
lets you create your own songs and listen to other users from
around the world. You'd better hold on to something, preferably
your iPhone, because you're about to be blown away.
Apple has revealed that it will finally be delivering wireless
tethering soon. Since you don't have to worry about that anymore,
now you can start worrying about whether AT&T's 3G network
can support the added strain or if it will simply melt.
YouTube is negotiating with a major movie studio to bring
ad-supported feature films to its site. Still no word yet on the
big-budget remake of "People reacting to 2 Girls 1 Cup."
