On November 23, 2023, an unprovoked knife attack outside
Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire on Parnell Square East in Dublin
shocked the nation.

In this episode we examine the case of 52-year-old Riyad
Bouchaker—from the precise timeline of the assault and the heroic
civilian interventions to the three-week criminal trial at
Dublin’s Central Criminal Court and the political fallout that
followed.

Discover the story of childcare worker Leanne Flynn, who
repeatedly placed her body between the attacker and young
children, and Brazilian delivery driver Caio Benicio, who used
his motorcycle helmet to disarm the suspect.
