ENGLISH

In episode three of UNCUT, Darion Atkins talks with Andre Zimpel
about his journey from Maryland back to Chemnitz. Raised by his
mother and grandmother, he fell in love with basketball early.

Darion also opens up about the father he has never met and the
kind of dad he wants to be for his own children. He shares a
mistake from college: a failed drug test, the suspension that
followed, and what disappointing his family taught him about
accountability.

After four years at the University of Virginia came 17 NBA
workouts, training camp with the New York Knicks and a season in
the D-League. He explains what made his first spell in Chemnitz
special, why an offer worth almost twice as much took him to
Italy, and why returning now makes sense for his family.

A conversation about fatherhood and learning from mistakes, with
an honest look at professional basketball.

Thank you, Darion, for opening up. What stayed with you? Tell us
in the comments.

DEUTSCH

Was bleibt euch besonders im
Kopf? Schreibt es uns in die Kommentare.
