Abhijit Chavda — Deep Ocean, Loch Ness, Megalodon, Black Holes
& The Mysteries of the Universe
95% of the ocean remains unexplored. And most of the universe is
made of something we cannot see or fully explain.
Somewhere between the deepest ocean trenches and the edge of the
observable universe lie questions that science is still trying to
answer.
In this episode of Supertalks, Raghav sits down with Abhijit
Chavda for the third time. This time, the conversation moves
beyond geopolitics and history into the mysteries of our planet,
space and the universe.
What we cover:
️ What could be hiding in the deepest parts of the ocean that
humans have never seen?
️ The Loch Ness Monster — what does science actually say about
its existence?
️ Could Megalodon, the largest shark ever known to have lived,
still survive somewhere in the deep ocean?
️ What lies beneath the ice of Antarctica, and could an
undiscovered civilisation exist there?
️ What happens when two black holes collide — and what would
happen if a human entered one?
️ How could DNA have arrived on Earth from space?
️ Why did gold not originate on Earth, and where did it actually
come from?
️ Dark matter, dark energy, quantum gravity and the unanswered
questions shaping our understanding of the universe.
Abhijit Chavda is a theoretical physicist whose research spans
dark matter, dark energy, black hole physics, quantum gravity and
physical cosmology. He is the creator of the #AskAbhijit Show,
with over a million followers, and has been a member of the
consultative group to the Principal Scientific Adviser to the
Government of India. He has also spoken at the G20 2023 and the
World Hindu Congress in Bangkok.
This conversation is not about pretending we have all the
answers.
It is about exploring the questions we still cannot answer —
about the ocean beneath us, the universe above us, and the
mysteries hiding in between.
