Why do we feel guilty asking for help?
Why do we feel like telling our problems to someone will make us
a burden? Why do we think we always have to be strong, handle
everything ourselves, and somehow keep going even when we’re
tired?
Maybe you’ve also said “I’m fine” when you weren’t.
Maybe you’ve wanted to talk to someone but stopped yourself
because you thought, “Unki apni problems hain, main apni problem
kyun daalun?”
Maybe being vulnerable feels uncomfortable because you’re so used
to being the strong one.
In this episode, we talk about why asking for help can feel so
difficult, why we feel guilty for needing people, why we think we
always have to be strong, and why it’s actually okay to not have
everything figured out.
I also share some honest experiences from my own life — the times
I’ve felt like a burden, struggled to talk about what I was going
through, and had to remind myself that needing someone doesn’t
make you weak.
Because maybe you don’t always need to be strong.
Maybe sometimes you just need someone to say…
“It’s okay. You don’t have to handle everything alone.” 🤍
