Brianne West is a British-born environmentalist, social
entrepreneur, and founder of regenerative lifestyle and beauty
brand, Ethique. The brand produces a range of solid beauty bars -
from shampoo and conditioner to facial cleansers and moisturisers,
body butters and deodorants - which are vegan, cruelty-free, palm
oil-free, plastic-free, made with directly traded ingredients and
packaged in home-compostable materials. West founded the brand ten
years ago with the aim of creating a business that would address
environmental issues - namely the plastic pollution. Now in its
tenth year, the bars are still beloved by environmentally conscious
customers around the world, garnering more than 25,000 five-star
reviews. Ethique is now distributed via 4,000 retailers in over 24
countries around the globe and is valued in excess of $100 million.
Not to mention the brand has had casual shout outs by Britney
Spears and Ashton Kutcher! We talk being bold with her vision early
on, dealing with naysayers, how to spot genuine green businesses
