Welcome to History's Not Boring by Kidopoly.com with your hosts
Mira and Finn! Have you ever wondered who the very first person
to travel into outer space was? Get ready for a countdown,
because we are blasting off into the year 1961! Meet Yuri
Gagarin, a brave cosmonaut who made history 65 years ago today.
Imagine sitting inside a tiny round spacecraft called Vostok 1 on
a top-secret base in Kazakhstan, waiting for the giant rocket
engines to roar!

In this thrilling episode, Mira and Finn uncover the incredible
true story of how Yuri Gagarin skyrocketed into the great
unknown. He flew faster than a speeding bullet, orbiting the
entire planet Earth in just 108 minutes! We'll discover the
amazing message he radioed back from space (spoiler: he thought
Earth was beautiful!), and learn all about the intense Cold War
"Space Race" between the USA and the USSR. How did one single
flight change humanity forever and make Yuri the most famous
person on the planet overnight? Strap in, put on your space
helmets, and let's launch right into history to find out!
